The National Grits Festival has been cookin’ up community and culture in Warwick, GA for 22 years —officially crowned the Grits Capital of the World in 2003, when Governor Sonny Perdue declared April 12 as National Grits Festival Day. Thousands of Worth County locals and visitors get their grit on by taking the plunge into the legendary Grits Pit and enjoying live music, southern cuisine and charm, the annual parade, and so much more. No matter what brings you out, you butter believe you’re in for a fun celebration of the region’s rich agricultural heritage with local farmers and their corn crops—the heart of both the festival and Georgia’s official prepared dish!
