The Wild Chicken Festival is a two-day celebration that immerses attendees in the charming spirit of Fitzgerald, GA  and its beloved wild Burmese chickens — a colorful symbol of community pride since the 1960s. Thousands of attendees flock to Ben Hill County to cheer on contestants at the rooster crowing contest, lace up for the 5K run, snap photos of the lively pet parade and savor delicious local food. No matter the activity, festivalgoers feel like part of the flock — clucking along with the locals in true Fitzgerald style!
